Vegan Condensed Milk

If you are tired of skipping your favorite desserts because you can't find this basic ingredient of traditional dessert cuisine in its vegan version, be happy because today is your lucky day! This post will change your desserts forever!


The best condensed milks are not made in a blender but in a pan.


Condensing means making it denser, reducing it to a smaller volume, removing the water. Therefore, in my opinion, vegan condensed milk recipes made by mixing soy milk powder in a blender with the addition of water are not condensed milk, besides having the bad taste of powdered milk, they are not condensed milk recipes.


So this recipe is pretty easy. All we need to do is add the sugar to the milk and cook it so that most of the water evaporates. I used soy milk because it's my favorite, but the important thing is to use a vegan milk that has no added sugars, sweeteners, or flavor. If not, your condensed milk won't be good.



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 liter of vegan milk of your choice

  • 300g of sugar


PREPARATION MODE:

  1. In a large deep pot, add the milk and sugar

  2. put a small plate in the fridge

  3. Cook this mixture over medium heat stirring all the time for 30min

  4. Take the small plate out of the fridge, add a little of the mixture and turn the plate

  5. over, leaving it standing. If the condensed milk runs a lot, it needs to be cooked

  6. longer. If it drains and then stops, it's ready.

  7. Remove from heat and beat these mixtures in an electric mixer or in your hand for 5 minutes to cool and put in the fridge.
