Scrambled tofu is one of the basic recipes of those who are becoming vegan, it substitutes scrambled egg for its similar appearance and for being a healthy and protein-rich option to start the day.
No more dry and dull Tofu
If you have eaten tofu once, you know that it is a tasteless food, and if you do not know how to prepare it, it can become a burden to want to include tofu for a balanced breakfast. But the good news is that if it is well prepared, this protein becomes a delicious vegan dish.
This is a very easy and quick vegetarian and vegan recipe. With few ingredients, your tofu will go blandly to the long-awaited breakfast main course.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons of single type olive oil
- 250g of Firm Tofu
- 100g of Silk Tofu
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablet of unsalted vegetable broth
- 1/4 teaspoon full of turmeric
- 100ml of hot water
- Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Break the firm tofu into small pieces
2. In a bowl, add hot water and dissolve the vegetable broth and turmeric
3. Peel and squeeze two cloves of garlic
4. In a frying pan add the oil and saute the garlic until it begins to brown
5. Add the already broken firm tofu
6. Saute for 1 to 2 minutes
7. Add the vegetable broth mixture with the turmeric
8. Cook for another 3 minutes or until the tofu absorbs all the color of the turmeric
9. Add the silk tofu and press it until it mixes with the firm tofu
10. Add salt to taste and your scrambled tofu is ready to be served!
11. If you want to add spinach as in the photo, just add the leaves already washed to the pan and cook together with the scrambled tofu.
